short is just a matter of perception
I added a small patch to the original PHP Markdown Extra plug-in for Wordpress by Michel Fortin, to allow paragraph references, and bumped the version to 1.2.3.1.
The referencing (links/paragraph IDs) can be disabled by setting the constant at Line 41 to false — but if you’re going to do that, might as well use the original Markdown Extra 1.2.3. Futher configuration is at Lines 42, 43 and 44.
Paragraph references will only work for single post pages. It’s currently in action at Geekaholic, so you can see what it looks like before installing it.
