Why is the popular belief that Macs are just good for audio/video or generally media related stuff? Some of the most popular and respected developers on the Web today use a Mac, and dare I say swear by it. The tools available for programmers and developers on a Mac are far superior to what is available on Windows, e.g. TextMate and Xcode among others — there are just too many under different topics for me to begin listing here.
I hate “popular” beliefs, and absolutely loathe people who state them to make an argument. And just for the record, I’ve never used the “Mac has no viruses” argument to defend my stance.
