  1. Critique me, Please!

    “The process of engaging in meaningful critique of your work decreases the amount of time spent holding on to design decisions that may not actually solve the problems you are facing and open the door to constructive conversations that highlight specific and actionable solutions you would not have arrived at on your own.”

    Designing is an emotional process. Not everything needs to have vested emotions in them, but many things do. It’s what makes a design your design. I would also add that only let designers critique your work — and designers you respect. Not only will they give you criticism you can actually use, but also give you reasons other than “your design doesn’t feel right.”
